BIOGRAPHY

Robert L Bergstrom is the principal member of this firm. He is responsible for the firm's administration, as well as the professional services furnished to our clients. He began his career in the Weyerhaeuser Company Law Department in 1973, at the Corporate headquarters in Federal Way, where he handled  real estate & corporate matters.  In 1980 he started a new law firm in Bellevue WA offering real estate counseling, estate planning, and business planning service to high net worth families and corporations.  Since 1988 he has operated this financial planning and investment advisory firm to serve the needs of wealthy families in the communities east of Lake Washington.

He hold a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Washington with emphasis on economics and history. He also participated in a two year Fellowship Program at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Washington Bar Association, and the Eastside Estate Planning Council.

REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE

His father was a land developer, home builder, and contractor in Eastern Oregon & Washington.  As part time and summer work he handled land surveying, construction cost estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and progress reporting before graduating from college. His personal employment usually touched upon some portion of the real estate industry.  At Weyerhaeuser Company in the 1970s his work involved a wide range of real estate matters.  He was legal counsel for their eight land development and home building subsidiaries across the country, including Quadrant Corporation in Bellevue WA.  He also handled some of the realty work for Weyerhaeuser Company and its other subsidiaries, including rural roads, mills, and business sites.  His real estate legal work since the 80s is described on the Law Services pages.
